Compare the Best Frenemies and Lunarian desk mats from Starforge Systems to find the anime desk pad that fits your themed setup.
Quick answer
If you want a bold, character-driven centerpiece for your gaming desk, the Best Frenemies desk mat is the pick. If you prefer a softer, more artistic look that blends with wall art, the Lunarian desk mat fits better.
Art style and room theme
Both mats feature artwork from favorite IPs and artists, but they serve different visual roles. Best Frenemies leans into playful character interactions, making it a statement piece that draws attention. Lunarian has a more ethereal, artistic vibe that complements existing decor without overwhelming it.
Think about what your desk currently looks like. If you already have busy wall art, Lunarian's softer tones may blend more smoothly. If your setup is minimal and needs a focal point, Best Frenemies can anchor the room.
Size and practical fit
Both mats measure 900x400mm, which is a standard extended desk mat size. That means they cover the same surface area, so your choice comes down to art and color rather than dimensions.
This size works well as a desk cover or an extra-large mousepad. If you have a smaller desk, measure first to ensure the 900mm width fits alongside your keyboard and other peripherals.
Trade-offs to consider
- Visual impact vs. subtlety: Best Frenemies makes a loud statement; Lunarian offers a quieter, more elegant look. Choose based on how much attention you want the mat to draw.
- Theme matching: If your room already has bold anime prints, Lunarian may complement without clashing. If your setup is plain, Best Frenemies adds instant personality.
- Price difference: Best Frenemies costs $36.99 while Lunarian is $35.99, a one-dollar difference. Price shouldn't be the deciding factor; art preference matters more. Check your room's color palette before ordering.
